Core Team Minutes

December 15, 2005

Core team and speakers broke out into two different working groups.

Kim Hawkins will bring the devotional for the meeting on January 12.

Muslim contacts: Debbie B., Kim H., and Percy will endeavor to contact a Muslim to join the core group and attend regularly.

Advertising for 1/24 forum:

· Susan will leave list of the contacts she makes with Teri and Teri will email everyone with progress of same.

· Renee will design a sign to be posted (done)

· Renee will develop name badges and Debbie will supply holders

· It was suggested by Frieda that formal invitations be sent to the various cities’ and Ventura County dignitaries. Everyone agreed.

Forum arrangements are as follows per volunteers:

Frieda - plates, cups, napkins, and spoons

Oxnard Temple – cookies and coffee maker

Teri - coffee

Shirley tea

Kim sugar, creamer, splenda

The following are prepared to have literature at the forum:

Bahai, Temple Ner Ami, Soka Gokkai Buddhists

Debbie Bavaro will check on literature for Oxnard Buddhist Temple and Teri will email Percy to remind her about acquiring material regarding Quakers.

Teri reported on the actual voice contact with the Ventura California Youth Authority. They are glad for us to sponsor a girls’ living unit. The unit has 23 girls ranging in age from 12 to 25. They would like the Christmas materials by 12/20. Teri reminded those present that no metal, glass, or homemade baked goods could be given. The gifts/donations should be delivered either to Debbie Bavaro’s or Teri’s house by 12/19.
