Since Tim will be pursuing his doctorate in
Feast of Faiths –
The key elements that need to be decided right away are where and the cost of meals. If we can get this information by May 15, we’ll hold the Feast of Faith’s in July. Otherwise, we’ll do it at a later date.
Where –
¨ Debbie Bavarro will try to reserve the Christian Science place. Second choice is Temple Ner Ami.
¨ Debbie will advise Renée of location by May 15.
Caterer –
Meal will include entrée (chicken and veggie dish), salad, and fruit-based dessert. Beverages will include coffee, iced tea, hot tea, and lemonade. Meal will be served buffet style. We will need tablecloths, napkins, centerpiece, silverware, etc.
¨ Freida has the name of a caterer and will provide this to Debbie.
¨ Tim will provide the name of a caterer to Debbie.
¨ Debbie will call her contacts as well as Freida’s and Tim’s recommendation and strive to keep the cost under $25/ticket.
¨ Debbie will advise Renée cost of tickets by May 15.
Format –
Different religious traditions will be represented at each table. Each table will have a color. Individuals will be assigned to a table color. Name tags will have the name and the religious tradition. Each table will have at least one core group member. We may or may not have table topics. This will be decided at the next meeting. Ideas from previous core group meetings may be considered. Those listed that were taken to the CSUCI Interfaith are:

§ Why have interfaith dialogue
Promotion –
Each of us will promote this event to our respective faith groups.
¨ Renée will update flier with the information regarding where and cost and email this out to the Core group by May 17.
¨ Debbie will send copies to those without email.
¨ Freida will call those who expressed interest at our last event who do not have email.
¨ Teri will send an email out to those people who expressed interest at our last event and do have email.
¨ Roslyn Wolin and Susan Monday will work on publicity with the media.
