Review of Minutes:

Review of Finances:   

• Balance in checking is same as last month

Report on programs visited:    

            Muslim feast

Matters Arising to add to agenda:

• Frieda Weinberg memorial - 10/11 at 11:00 AM at Recreation Center in Leisure Village, followed by brunch. RSVP to Warren at 310-581-0094,
• Tim will change wording on website from archives to minutes

Business:

1.  Feast of Faiths

a. Tim reported that Campus Interfaith is keen to co-sponsor

b. Place – LDS Cultural facility

i. Insurance rider –

1. Campus Interfaith (Catherine Shadduck) working on

2. No cost at this time

ii. Core committee will stay to clean up afterwards

c. Cost:

i. Regular = 25, Before Oct 23, 20

ii. Students = 15, Before Oct 23, 10

iii. We will to guarantee the caterer a number before the event. Bob will find out when he needs to know

d. Caterers

i. Tim mentioned that Abundant Table would like to supply some vegetables in exchange for acknowledgement – Bob will find out if the caterer will accept vegetables from Abundant Table.

ii. Bob will email the list of choices available, and Teri will respond with what we want

iii. Place settings, etc.

iv. Bob will check on plates, silverware, and glasses

e. Entertainment:

i. No Taiko drummers at this time. Can try Buddhist Temple

ii. Teri will talk to Debbie Bavaro about Taiko drummers

iii. Ted Lucas will play violin at beginning/arrival time – We will pay for Ted and Judy’s meal

iv. Bob will check on a children’s choir

v. Joan will see if Mike will say grace

f. Publicity

i. Tim will send paragraphs to Bob, Joan, and Janna by 10/4 for inclusion in bulletins the following two weeks.
