Devotional:

• Kellen Smith read a pagan blessing called “Universal Divine”

Other matters arising:

• Teri will add the representative from Monte Vista Pres to her mailing list

• There were 41 people at the Feast of Faiths.

• Ros will let us know what the income and expense from the Feast of Faiths was – there is $349 in the checking

• Tim will add Mark Walden to the publicity list

Review of Finances:

• Ros said that there is $349 in the checking

Report on programs visited:

Business:

1. Have members add addresses to contact form

Teri circulated a pad to collect contact information

2. Get important addresses for follow-ups

Bob thanked the Bishop on our behalf

3. Set possible date for next Feast of Faiths

• October 17^th

• Mark and Bob encouraged us to explore the use of choral groups from a wide variety of churches

• Mark volunteered to oversee the creation a CD with a variety of prayers, songs, psalms, and meditations from as many traditions as possible – Mark, Tim, Kellen, and Joan will form a subcommittee. Mark will develop a 1 page flier and email it to us before the next meeting

• Yahya believes that he will be able to draw from a new group at the Mosque for Muslim participation

4. Discuss idea and date for forum

Help with cleanup/repair of a school/classroom public/preschool etc.

Pick produce at Abundant Table and deliver to Foodshare

Serve dinner at Ventura County Rescue Mission (core group)

Some expressed concern that not all can do physical work

Kellen will talk to Campus Interfaith about the possibility of a Science and Religion forum

We will each come to next meeting with an idea for a service project that will build our own community and serve the wider community
