We will be gathering at the
Conejo Valley Botanical Garden
for a day of community service at 9:00 AM. We'll work until around 1:00
at which time we will share a pot-luck picnic lunch, and a tour of the
Garden. To reach the Garden:
Exit
the 101 Freeway at Lynn Road. Go north .7 mile to Gainsborough
Road. Turn right and proceed ½ mile to the access drive on
the right at 350 W. Gainsborough Road at Jeaunine Dr. Tools will be
provided, but please bring your own work gloves. On Sunday, October 17th, in cooperation
with
Campus Interfaith,
the
Ventura County
Interfaith Community will once again host a "
Feast of Faiths." Plan on
joining us as we dine with people from a variety of faiths (location to
be anounced). The event will begin at 4:00 PM and conclude at 6:00 PM.
Vegetarian, halal and kosher style dinners will be served. More
information will follow, but reserve the date now! Also, contact

Campus Interfaith and the
Ventura County Interfaith Community are proud to announce a forum on
religion's sometimes comfortable and sometimes troubled relationship to
science. The forum will include local academics and clergy as well as
scientists from within the community. It will begin at 4:30 PM and
conclude at 6:30. Mark your calendars now so you don't miss this
